Common use

Prinivil is in a group of drugs called ACE inhibitors. Prinivil is used to treat high blood pressure (hypertension), congestive heart failure, and to improve survival after a heart attack. This medication may also be used to help protect the kidneys from damage due to diabetes.

Dosage and direction

Take this medication by mouth, usually once a day or as directed by your doctor. You may take this drug with or without food. Use this medication regularly in order to get the most benefit from it. Precautions

Missed dose

If you miss a dose, use it as soon as you remember. If it is near the time of the next dose, skip the missed dose and resume your usual dosing schedule. Do not double the dose to catch up.
